Edward O. Villarreal, DDS

Meet Dr. Villarreal

Dr. Villarreal completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Indiana University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1988. Before pursuing dental school, he taught Anatomy & Physiology at Indiana University from 1980 to 1983—an experience that deepened his love for science and healthcare.

Dr. Villarreal knew from a young age that he wanted to become a dentist. He fondly remembers visiting his childhood dentist and later spending time shadowing in dental offices, which solidified his passion for the profession. Since then, he has dedicated his career to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles with compassion and care.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Villarreal is also on staff at Union Hospital, where he provides dental treatment under general anesthesia for patients with special needs, geriatric patients, and others who require care under special circumstances. Every Friday, you’ll find him there, continuing his commitment to making dentistry accessible and compassionate for those who need it most.

Outside of the office, Dr. Villarreal enjoys spending time outdoors—whether he’s washing cars, walking his dog, or on the golf course. He also loves traveling, especially back to his hometown near Chicago, visiting the beach in Florida, or enjoying the magic of Disney World.

Dr. Villarreal has been married to his wife, Juliann, since April 14, 1990. Together, they have three children and are proud grandparents to two granddaughters.
